At Trinity Lutheran Church, we know how difficult it is to lose a loved one. You are not alone on this journey, we are here to walk with you. We will work closely with you and your family throughout your planning to honor your loved one's life on Earth as well as their eternal life in Heaven. We've included some planning information below, but please reach out to Tonya Thieme at (951) 676-1492, with any questions you may have or to schedule a meeting with Pastor.
"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep." (1 Thess.4:13-14 ESV)
Personalize Your Loved One's Service
We will set up a family meeting with Pastor to talk about your loved one and plan their service. Many families enjoy personalizing certain aspects of the service to reflect who their loved one was, things like:
- Music selection - incorporating a favorite song, arranging to have their favorite instrument
- Bible verses - including Bible verses - including Bible verses that were cherished by your loved one
In addition to floral arrangements, families find it comforting to incorporate photos and other personal mementos. We do our best to accommodate the display or personal items that honor a loved one's interests, vocation, hobbies or favorite items. Families are also welcomed to display photos and photo boards.
